Passigatti Collection S/S 2011
"Trendy und beautiful" with just a touch of escapism are the hallmarks of Passigatti's new collection for S/S 2011. The longing for beauty continues unabated
in accessories that stand for individuality, tradition and character.
Themes range from Countryside, with its romantic overtones, through futuristic, modern "Energy" to "Aqua", which picks up the nature and beauty of the summer in all its aspects, and "Exotic", which combines Asian elements with traditional ethnic craftsmanship.
These thematic worlds create a bridge between a relaxed love of the countryside, sophisticated understatement and modern art, the beach and the sea, and the fascination of the exotic.
Passigatti offers attractive accessories for a playful, fashionable, individual look in response to new trends and attitudes.

Countryside
Accessories in the Countryside range reflect the country life with a romantic touch, with added contrasts for extra vitality: Mille-fleur designs, lace, decorative embroidery and appliqué work are set off artistically through the use of denim, linen and cotton. Squares, vichy checks and coarser structures using "destroyed" and "used" effects add energy to the style through the contrast with traditional workmanship.
Passigatti uses cotton and cotton mixtures for the materials. Light backgrounds are important, combined with denim, linen, jersey, crochet lace, frills, embroidery and fringed edges.
Colours fit in with the traditional, natural feel, combined with the rustic worker look, in shades of denim, indigo blue, white or ecru, red, camel, brown, dusty shades of rosé, mint and vanilla, plus a delicate muted green.
Energy
With its futuristic, modern "Energy" theme, Passigatti has produced abstract graphics in strikingly powerful colours, ranging from reduced, minimalist designs to intoxicating colour combinations reminiscent of liquid dyes, paints or molten metal. Contrasts create tension: Careful constructions are combined with softly flowing shapes. Black and white make rainbow colours glow.
The new, functional materials perfectly complement a style with a real "wow" factor. They're unconventional and eye-catching: flowing, shiny satin, silk, jersey, cotton, coated or with a chintz finish, lacquer prints, lamé, shine effects, jersey dévoré and matt-shine effects.
Modern, glowing colours combined with black and white express the theme effectively, using fresh fruity colours such as orange, mango, turquoise, violet, lemon yellow, lime, and clear colours with a shot of neon.
Aqua
Aqua is a fresh, inspiring summer theme. The beauty of the underwater world and its inhabitants combined with the structures and reflections created within the water have provided Passigatti with ideas and inspiration for magnificent prints.
The theme is expressed by Passigatti on soft, flowing materials such as silk, satin, chiffon, with matt-shiny effects, wet-look finishes, foil prints, metallic threads, Lurex, shimmering fabrics and lamé.
Passigatti presents every nuance of aqua here. The focus is on blues with a touch of lilac: midnight blue, royal, electric blue, pale lilac blue, light blue, combined with violet, sand and coral.
Exotic
One of the highlights of Passigatti's Summer 2011 Collection are these Asian-inspired accessories. Batik techniques and print motifs from Indonesia and Southeast Asia form the basis for the colourful, decorative designs. Influences from Central Asia such as kelims and ikat designs are important here.
Passigatti presents this theme on structured silks such as bourette and shantung, plus linen and cotton. Decorations in the form of elaborate embroidery, appliqué work, braids, ribbons and hand-knotted fringes, tassels or pearls underline the traditional craftsmanship. Warm summer spice colours in line with the theme, such as khaki and olive, are brightened through the use of lime and yellow. Pink, peach and violet add decorative contrasts. Earthy shades of brown and cognac round off the look.
