On Monday the 27th of January, the 4th edition of the sparkling network event Keys to Success
took place as part part of Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam. It was not only the last day for designers to show their new collection on the catwalk of Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Amsterdam, but also the day where business met fashion.
After passing the lounge with great design furniture professionals from and outside the fashion industry entered the Westerunie to enjoy their welcome drink. Holly Syrett, Manager Marketing Partnerships & Concept Development of FashionWeek Nederland welcomed everyone, whereupon Social Entrepreneur and today moderator Natasja van den Berg introduced the speakers.
Sofie Schop, Senior CSR Consultant at Schuttelaar & Partners, presented a step by step approach how to make your business sustainable, from the beginning to the end of the supply chain. Brigitte de Wilde, General Director & Owner of Cora Kemperman, continued with her story about the company that is actually already sustainable for 17 years but has now started to also communicate that with the consumer;
“We do believe that transparent communication about the story of our product creates value and respect for the entire process, the people involved and the product itself.”
Carlien Helmink, Co-Owner of Studio Jux, showed you do not need to compromise on other factors such as design when you are making sustainable fashion. The speakers programme wrapped up with an official moment where Andius Teijgeler, Head of Communication & Sustainability ABN AMRO granted the Sustainable Fashion Guide to Rob Zomer, Director FashionWeek Nederland. This toolguide has been developed by Schuttelaar & Partners and ABN AMRO and has shown to public for the first time at Keys to Success.
Attendees could exchange their ideas about the presentations and expand their business network during the drinks and bites served at location. Afterwards, everyone was invited to attend the catwalk show of prestigious designer Dennis Diem!
